Mission |

CrystalGraphics' mission is to be the dominant provider
of compelling and easy-to-use 3D graphics software that helps businesses
communicate more successfully -- through presentations, the Web
and videos. Its primary focus is on the goal of bringing TV-style
effects to PowerPoint presentations in the form of its “PowerPlugs”
product family. Presentations Magazine awarded CrystalGraphics with
its Standing Ovation Award for “Best PowerPoint Plug-ins” for the
PowerPlugs product family. Other recognition for PowerPlugs products
includes a five-star rating from PC Magazine, as well as Cool Tools
Award.

In pursuit of its mission, CrystalGraphics has recently
introduced the following innovative products:
• 1998 — PowerPlugs: Transitions I & II.
The first and only plug-in for Microsoft PowerPoint, PowerPlugs:
Transitions energizes PowerPoint presentations with TV-style 3D
slide transition effects.
• 1999 — PowerPlugs: PhotoActive FX I & II
and PowerPlugs: SuperShapes I & II. PowerPlugs: PhotoActive FX adds
beautiful still and animated photo effects to PowerPoint presentations,
while PowerPlugs: SuperShapes enhances PowerPoint presentations
with television-style still and animated shape effects.
• January 2000 — PowerPlugs: Charts. As the
world's most powerful charting plug-in for PowerPoint, PowerPlugs:
Charts helps you create sophisticated 3D charts easily and quickly.
• March 2000 — PowerPlugs: Backgrounds I
& II. Each volume of PowerPlugs: Backgrounds includes 200 stunning
PowerPoint backgrounds, based on 50 artistic template styles.
• June 2000 — PowerPlugs: 3D Titles I & II.
Each volume includes 30 pre-created 3D animations inspired by television
and film. You can add impressive-looking animated 3D title slides
to PowerPoint presentations in seconds. All animations are customizable.
• July 2000 — PowerPlugs: Photos I & II. Each
volume contains 100 unique, professional-quality photographs depicting
key themes, ideas, emotions and symbols associated with business.
They add a professional look to your PowerPoint presentations and
can be used in other multimedia projects as well.
• December 2000 — PowerPlugs: Headings I & II.
Each volume includes over 1,000 professional-quality headings and
coordinated backdrops for enhancing Microsoft PowerPoint presentations.
They'll add style, depth and emphasis to your slides.
• In March 2001 — Slides That Win! In collaboration
with top presentation designers, CrystalGraphics introduced this
multimedia CD-ROM as the world's first interactive guide devoted
exclusively to helping PowerPoint users increase the effectiveness
of their presentations.
• June 2001 — PowerPlugs: Quotations. Compatible
with both Microsoft Word and PowerPoint, PowerPlugs: Quotations
contains the world's largest collection of electronically searchable
quotes.
• August 2001 — PowerPlugs: Templates, a six-volume
CD collection of over 30,000 professional-quality PowerPoint templates,
consisting of more than 60,000 backgrounds in all.

History |
| |
Founded in 1986, the company was an early leader
in the professional 3D video graphics industry. In that arena, it
is best known for its development of Crystal TOPAS Professional, which
was arguably the first commercially successful 3D animation package
for the PC. CrystalGraphics was also the developer of the 3D-effects
creation software for an innovative real-time 3D effects system widely
used by television broadcasters, which won an Emmy award in 1994.
More recently, CrystalGraphics has taken on a new challenge: breaking
3D technology out of its traditionally small niche by developing an
all-new line of incredibly easy-to-use 3D animation tools designed
for mainstream business users. Its award-winning product suite of
PowerPlugs titles now includes 3D Titles, Backgrounds, Charts, Headings,
Photos, PhotoActive FX, Quotations, SuperShapes, Templates, Transitions,
Slides That Win!, Crystal 3D IMPACT Pro and Crystal 3D VORTEX. |
