1. Who is Crystal TOPAS Professional for?
Crystal TOPAS Professional was created for multimedia animators, designers
and professional animators.

2. How does Crystal TOPAS Professional compare with other products
for the PC?
With Crystal TOPAS Professional, you'll create professional broadcast-quality
output that renders 2-3 times faster than the competition. It includes very
powerful texture mapping and lighting tools.

3. What is the difference between Crystal TOPAS and Crystal
TOPAS Professional?
Crystal TOPAS Professional has "broadcast" features that allow you to create
higher quality animations than Crystal TOPAS. Broadcast features include: sequential
TGA output up to 8k x 8k x 32bits, field rendering, motion trail, motion blur,
alpha options, matting, rotoscoping video sequences from VTR, network rendering,
and built-in interface to record frame-by-frame to tape.

4. Can I record my animations to videotape using Crystal TOPAS
Professional?
You can record animations to videotape using Crystal TOPAS Professional, assuming
you have the necessary hardware. There are two alternative types of hardware
you can choose from to output your animations to video tape:
- A frame-grabbing graphics board, a VTR controller (SoftVTR) and a frame
accurate VTR.
- A motion capture and playback card (such as from Fast
Multimedia) and any VCR or VTR.

Yes, you can create and edit your own animation scripts or choose from 1,400
pre-made motion scripts.

Yes, Crystal TOPAS Professional will import Postscript Type 1 fonts.

8. Can you import 3D CAD models into Crystal TOPAS Professional?
Yes, Crystal TOPAS Professional can import and export both DXF and IGS models.

9. Can you import and export objects from Crystal TOPAS Professional
to Crystal FLYING FONTS PRO?
Yes, most models and groups will load in and render perfectly well. There are
however, some rendering features in Crystal TOPAS Professional which are not
yet supported by Crystal FLYING FONTS PRO,
such as ray traced refractions.
