1. How can I speed up the creation of my Crystal 3D VORTEX
effects?
First of all, adequate memory is essential - it is recommended that you have
at least 16MB RAM. Also, resolution and render quality settings effect the length
of time it takes to create a Crystal 3D VORTEX transition effect.
To quickly create previews of large animations, use the Crystal VORTEX
Settings -> Auto Preview Dimensions. For instance, set the dimensions to 320x240
render low-resolution, which renders faster than higher dimensions (this is
more advantageous than setting each plug-in instance to "Low" quality frames.
See the Crystal 3D VORTEX Settings documentation (in the Crystal
3D VORTEX mini-manual) for more details.

2. How can I apply my own logo on the "Slab Logo" transition
(to replace the "Crystal 3D VORTEX" logo)?
To place your own logo image on the Slab logo transition, use the Crystal 3D
VORTEX Settings program to change the default logo. See the Crystal
3D VORTEX Settings documentation (in the Crystal 3D VORTEX
mini-manual) for more details.

3. How can I use a custom image in my effects?
In several effects you will notice a background image or the name "Crystal
3D VORTEX" on the sides of some objects. You can replace these
backgrounds of the default text with your won backgrounds and titles. Here's
how:
- Use your favorite drawing or painting program to create your custom logo
or background image. Remember to make sure that you create the image at the
proper aspect ratio as listed in the previous chart. If your image is created
with an improper aspect ratio, then the image will be stretched or distorted
to fit the transition.
- Save your image as a TGA, TIF, JPEG, GIF, BMP or PCX.
- In your video editing program, choose a Crystal 3D VORTEX
transition, and set the custom image to the image that you created. Premiere
user will click the Custom... button, while Media Studio Pro users will need
to use the Crystal 3D VORTEX SETTINGS program in the Crystal
3D VORTEX folder. For help on using the 3D VORTEX
SETTINGS program, view the SETTINGS.WRI file.
