2.
Install the USB Receiver Plug the receiver into a USB port on your PC.
Windows will take a few moments to automatically load the proper drivers. -If
Windows asks you for the Windows CD, follow the dialog box instructions. -If
Windows displays dialog boxes, click "Next" on all dialog boxes and
then "Finish."
3. Test the Installation Keyboard From
the Windows Start menu, open a word processor like WordPad or Microsoft word.
Type on the keyboard. The letters you type should appear on the word processor's
screen.
Mouse Move the mouse. The cursor should move on the screen.
Remote Open
any PowerPoint presentation. Press the center button on the remote. The presentation
should start in "Slide Show" mode.

Keyboard In
addition to the normal keyboard keys, including numeric keypad and dedicated cursor
keys, the VersaPoint Communicator keyboard features 4 Command buttons, 6 Internet
shortcuts and 7 Multimedia buttons.Notes:
-Windows 98 and Windows 2000 do not support some of the above buttons. -Operation
of the Sleep/wake button may very depending on your computer hardware, BIOS settings,
your version of Windows, and settings for Power Options and Standby -To wake
your computer after using the Sleep Command, press and hold any keyboard key,
or either mouse button, for 3 seconds.
Remote The VersaPoint
Communicator Remote is the perfect way to give a presentation. Simply load your
presentation into Microsoft PowerPoint and go. And because the Remote is RF Wireless,
you don't have to point it at the receiver. You're free to move around and interact
with your audience.
Notes: The
VersaPoint Communicator Remote supports Microsoft PowerPoint. PowerPoint 97 does
not support the "Star" (labeled as "Starts the current presentation
from the first slide" from the above diagram) button to start the presentation.
ID
Change
The Keyboard, Mouse and Remote all transit ID numbers
to the receiver. Should you wish to use two or more VersaPoint Communicators in
close proximity, you can change ID numbers. There are 64 unique IDs, allowing
the use of up to 64 VersaPoint Communicator within RF transmission range of each
other (up to 30').
Keyboard 1. Using an unfolded paper clip,
poke the ID Change button through the small hold on the bottom of the Keyboard 2.
Using the unfolded paper clip, poke the ID Change button through the small hold
on the top of the receiver. 3. Within 20 seconds, press any key on the keyboard 4.
Test the installation as described on Page 1.
Mouse 1. Using
an unfolded paper clip, poke the ID Change button through the small hold on the
bottom of the mouse. 2. Using the unfolded paper clip, poke the ID Change button
through the small hold on the top of the receiver. 3. Within 20 seconds, click
either button on the mouse 4. Test the installation as described above.
Remote 1.
While holding the ESC button, press and hold the Blank Screen button down until
the LEDs begin to blink. After releasing the buttons, wait until the LEDs go out. 2.
Using an unfolded paper clip, poke the ID Change button on the top of the receiver. 3.
Within 20 seconds, press any button on the remote. 4. Test the installation
described above.
Trouble
Shooting
Keyboard, Mouse or Remote Does Not Operate -Confirm
that the affected unit is within 30' of the receiver. -Confirm that the batteries
are fresh and properly installed. Refer to battery installation instructions listed
above. -Unplug the receiver from the USB port. Wait 30 seconds. Plug the receiver
back into the USB port. Wait for Windows to recognize the receiver again. -Perform
ID Change as described above.
Keyboard, Mouse or Remote range is reduced -Replace
the batteries of the affected unit.
Hub Operation -Windows 2000
does not support multidevice receivers when used with USB 2.0 hubs. -Plug
receiver directly into computer.
