PowerPlugs: Transitions
Software Update
Current Version
The current version of the PowerPlugs:
Transitions
software is 2.8 – released November 13, 2007
(Note: the software version number is independent of the volume number.)
If your software has an older (lower) version number than this, then you
will want to get your free update here!
Updating Instructions for users of all previous versions of PowerPlugs:
Transitions:
- Do not uninstall your old PowerPlugs: Transitions software prior
to installing this update.
This is to avoid deleting your purchased transition effects.
- Download the new update for PowerPlugs: Transitions software.
Click on the link (above, right) to download the PowerPlugs: Transitions
update file.
- Save the downloaded file to a location such as your "My
Download Files" folder, where it will be easy to find in the next
steps.
- Close all running applications to prevent installation
problems.
This is good advice when installing any software from any source.
- Double-click
the downloaded file to start the installation.
By default, the installer will place the new software in a directory
called C:\Program Files\PowerPlugs.
Your downloaded file will be named: PowerPlugs-Transitions-2_**-Update.exe.
After you double-click on this downloaded file, the installer will
extract one or more compressed files from it.
The newly extracted files will be placed, by default, in a directory
called C:\Program Files\PowerPlugs.
Version 2.9 fixes
the following issues:
- Fixed
problem where longer slide presentations would sometimes slow down.
- Back navigation
in a slideshow (using the backspace or arrow keys) has been improved.
- Enhanced to make
it easier to install on PCs running Windows Vista
Improved navigation using the numeric pad.

- Resolved incompatibility
with certain PowerPoint 2007 themes

enhancements.
Version
2.8 fixes the following issues:
- Improvement to
Pack with Effects to add progress bar during packing process.
- Eliminated the
startup countdown in the case of packed presentations.
Version 2.7 fixes
the following issues:
- Further enhanced compatibility with
custom animation effects, including those of PowerPlugs: Animator.
Specifically, version 2.7 eliminates the delay to play the first custom
animation after a 3D transition effect occurs.

Version 2.15
fixes the following issues:
- PowerPlugs:
Transitions no longer alters PowerPoint's Custom Animation timings.
- Problems updating
from certain older versions of PowerPlugs: Transitions have been fixed.
- The reliability
of Pack with Effects has been significantly improved.
- Pack with Effects
now always uses the PowerPoint 2003 Player, even if you have an older
version of PowerPoint, ensuring accurate display of PowerPoint animation
effects and media objects.
- View Show with
Effects now works properly on widescreen displays using standard-format
presentations.
- “Back navigation”
in a slideshow (using the backspace or arrow keys) has been improved,
and 3D transitions will now consistently play properly after back-navigation.
However, there is still a minor problem with the back arrow, sometimes
requiring a double key-press.
- Many other fixes
and enhancements.
Version
2.13 fixes the following issues:

as it should have – fixed
