Software Update

Current Version
The current version of the

Updating Instructions for users of all previous versions of PowerPlugs: Transitions:

1. Do not uninstall your old PowerPlugs: Transitions software prior to installing this update.
   This is to avoid deleting your purchased transition effects.


2. Download the new update for PowerPlugs: Transitions software.
   Click on the link (above, right) to download the PowerPlugs: Transitions update file.


3. Save the downloaded file to a location such as your "My Download Files" folder, where it will be easy to find in the next steps.


4. Close all running applications to prevent installation problems.
   This is good advice when installing any software from any source.


5. Double-click the downloaded file to start the installation.
   By default, the installer will place the new software in a directory called C:\Program Files\PowerPlugs.
   Your downloaded file will be named: PowerPlugs_Transitions_v3.**_Update.exe.
   After you double-click on this downloaded file, the installer will extract one or more compressed files from it.
   The newly extracted files will be placed, by default, in a directory called C:\Program Files\PowerPlugs.

PowerPlugs: Transitions Version 3.12 makes the following enhancements:

• Transitions is now compatible with Office 2013 and Windows 8.

PowerPlugs: Transitions Version 3.07 fixes the following issues:

• Fixed minor bugs

PowerPlugs: Transitions Version 3.04 makes the following enhancements and fixes the following issues:

• Transitions is now compatible with Office 2010.

PowerPlugs: Transitions Version 3.02 makes the following enhancements and fixes the following issues:

• Transitions is now compatible with Windows 7.

Version 3.01 fixes the following issues:

• Immediately after the 3D performance test, the quality of the first 3D transition effects was reduced.
• On wide screen formats, there may be a colored vertical line left behind after certain 3D transition effects.
• On wide screen formats, the landing slide may go large then small during certain 3D transition effects.
• On wide screen formats, with video backgrounds, black strips appeared on both sides of the slide during 3D transitions.
• On wide screen formats, some transition effects (e.g. Open Up and Circular Fusion) didn’t advance properly.
• Various improvements to the quality and continuity of rendered (WMV) 3D transition effects.
• “Back navigation” in a slideshow (using the Back button in the lower left corner of the slides) is now supported.

Version 3.0 fixes the following issues:

• Added support for higher resolution transition effects.
• Added support for wide screen monitors and other non-traditional screen aspect ratios
• Improved support for WMV-format videos in foreground
• Added support for pre-rendered (WMV format) transition effects to make it easier to share 3D-enhanced packed presentations with others
• Improved user interface for image options, rendering options and help
• Improved support for autotiming and color depth in packed presentations
• Fixed various other minor bugs

Version 2.9 fixes the following issues:

• Fixed problem where longer slide presentations would sometimes slow down.
• “Back navigation” in a slideshow (using the backspace or arrow keys) has been improved.
• Enhanced to make it easier to install on PCs running Windows Vista
  
• Improved navigation using the numeric pad.
• Resolved incompatibility with certain PowerPoint 2007 themes
• Other fixes and enhancements.
  

Version 2.8 fixes the following issues:

• Improvement to Pack with Effects to add progress bar during packing process.
• Eliminated the startup countdown in the case of packed presentations.

Version 2.7 fixes the following issues:

• Further enhanced compatibility with custom animation effects, including those of PowerPlugs: Animator. Specifically, version 2.7 eliminates the delay to play the first custom animation after a 3D transition effect occurs.

Version 2.5 fixes the following issues:

Version 2.15 fixes the following issues:

• PowerPlugs: Transitions no longer alters PowerPoint's Custom Animation timings.
• Problems updating from certain older versions of PowerPlugs: Transitions have been fixed.
• The reliability of Pack with Effects has been significantly improved.
• Pack with Effects now always uses the PowerPoint 2003 Player, even if you have an older version of PowerPoint, ensuring accurate display of PowerPoint animation effects and media objects.
• View Show with Effects now works properly on widescreen displays using standard-format presentations.
• “Back navigation” in a slideshow (using the backspace or arrow keys) has been improved, and 3D transitions will now consistently play properly after back-navigation. However, there is still a minor problem with the back arrow, sometimes requiring a double key-press.
• Many other fixes and enhancements.

Version 2.13 fixes the following issues:

• Needless repainting of PowerPoint when presentations start and end – fixed
• Runtime error “453” when updating software – fixed
• Random “black” backgrounds – fixed

Version 2.12 addressed the following  issues:

• Incompatibility of PowerPlugs: Transitions and non-English  versions of PowerPoint – fixed
• Occasional problems using PowerPlugs: Transitions with Custom Animation with automatic timing – fixed

Version 2.11 addressed the following  issues:

• The PowerPlugs: View Show with Effects tool gave an error message if you have inserted an audio file into your PowerPoint presentation – fixed
• For PowerPoint 2003 users, the “PowerPlugs: Pack with Effects” tool appeared in the floating toolbar, but not in the PowerPoint File menu, as it should have – fixed

Version 2.10 added the following new enhancements:
