1. How easy is the PowerPlugs: Transitions product to use?
It's incredibly easy to use PowerPlugs: Transitions!
To assign a 3D transition effect, use the "Add 3D Transition" command. That command appears on the floating palette (shown below), as well as in the PowerPoint Slide Show menu, below the (2D) Slide Transition command.

The Add 3D Transition command dialog box (shown below) has a familiar look and feel. It allows you to easily select and preview the 3D transition effect you want, then apply it to that slide only, or to all the slides in the presentation. If you're in a hurry (and who isn't these days?), you can simply choose "Random" then Apply to All, and the program will assign an audience-pleasing variety of cool 3D transition effects (and corresponding sound effects) between each and every slide in your PowerPoint presentation. Just two or three clicks. That's really all it takes!

You can put 2D effects on some slides and 3D effects on other slides. Simply select the Add 3D Transition command when you want to add a 3D transition between slides, and, select the Slide Transition command when you want to add a standard (2D) transition between slides.
To play the Slide Show with the 3D effects, use the "View Show With 3D" command which also appears on the floating palette. That command is also located in the PowerPoint Slide Show menu, the second item from the top. (If you press just "View Show" or "Slide Show", the presentation will play, but without the 3D transition effects.)

2. Can I display animated graphics, artwork, music and PowerPoint effects on my slide(s) with 3D transition effects?

3. Can I use PowerPlugs: Transitions without 3D acceleration hardware?
Yes. 3D Acceleration hardware is a recommendation and not a requirement. All that is needed is a fast PC or - even better - a 3D graphics acceleration chip or board with 4 MB or more of video RAM. This is not required, but is very useful for speeding up the effects creation process and for playing the transition effects back more smoothly. 4. How do I determine if my computer has 3D acceleration hardware? And, if it doesn't have it, how much does it cost?
If your computer is less than 3 years old, , the probability is about 90% that your computer has what it takes to play the 3D transition effects smoothly. But if you want to verify that, do the following --
For Windows 95/98 users: Go to the Windows Start Menu>Settings>Control Panel. Double-click on the System Icon. Click on Device Manager. Double click on Display Adapter. Your graphics display adapter should be listed here.
For Windows NT/ME/2000/XP users: Right-click on the Windows desktop. Choose Properties. Click on Settings. Click on Display Type. Your graphics display adapter should be listed here.
Note: You can also use the DirectX Diagnostic program to determine what type of graphics display adapter is installed in your computer. Go to the Windows Start button and click Run. In the Run dialog box, type the following text:
dxdiag
Click OK. (If prompted to check for signature verification on the drivers, answer "No.") Select the "Display" tab. You will see the video memory size listed in this dialog box. Press the Exit button when you are ready to close the DirectX diagnostic dialog.
The only way to know for sure whether the Transitions effects will play back in real time, is to try it out. You can do this by downloading and installing a free trial version of PowerPlugs: Transitions.
In terms of estimating how much 3D hardware acceleration costs, the price can range from less than $75 to more than $400. Please check with your local computer hardware dealer (or search the Web) for a price range and board features that suit your needs.
