PowerPlugs:
SoundMaster - More Information
Getting Started
1. After I install
SoundMaster, where do I find it?
Start up
PowerPoint. In PowerPoint 2007, 2010 or 2013, choose "Add-Ins" from
the top toolbar. Below that (in the Menu Commands section) youll
see the name "PowerPlugs: SoundMaster". In PowerPoint 2003 it
appears in the Slide Show menu.

2. How do I change the default sounds assigned by the program?
The default
sounds are assigned to number 0-9. To change the default sounds, use the
PowerPlugs: SoundMaster dialog to highlight a number key you wish to change
the sound effect for and then Browse to the sound of your
choosing. Select the sound effect you want to use and click Apply.
3. Can I apply sound effects to my letter keys?
Yes, sound
effects can be applied to your letter keys too. In the PowerPlugs: SoundMaster
dialog, just highlight the letter on the left corresponding to the key
you wish to change the sound for, then Browse to select the
sound you want to assign and click Apply. (Note: The keys with their letters
grayed out cannot be assigned sound effects because they are already being
used by PowerPoint for other Microsoft-defined functions).
3 How is the volume adjuster different from the volume of my computer?
Since some
sound effects are louder than others, the Volume Level Adjustment
allows you to adjust each sound effect you assign so that, during your
presentation, all the sound effects can have a common, or different, decibel
level. You can preview the volume by clicking on the Play
button.
4 If I have PowerPlugs: SoundMaster installed but do not want the sounds
to be active when running PowerPoint, how do I mute them?
You can
mute the sound effects assigned to your computer keys by checking the
Mute Sound button for each sound in the PowerPlugs: SoundMaster
dialog, or just use your computers mute button to mute everything.
5 What is the location of the PowerPlugs: SoundMaster audio files; in
case I want to add more audio files to it?
After installation,
the default sounds folder gets created in two places for easier access:
In Vista and Windows 7:
1. C:\Users\<username>\Documents\ PowerPlugs Sound Effects
2. C:\Program Files\PowerPlugs\SoundMaster\Default Sounds
For Windows XP:
1. C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\My Documents\PowerPlugs
Sound Effects
2. C:\Program Files\PowerPlugs\SoundMaster\Default Sounds
Go
to PowerPlugs: SoundMaster home page
