What can I do if I receive an error message when clicking on the "Insert Quotation" button?

Please see the solution below if you receive the following error message:

Code=800a0e7a msg:unknown error 0x800A0E7A source: ADDODB connection.
Description: ADO could not find specified provider

PowerPlugs: Quotations requires MDAC (Microsoft Data Access Components) 2.6 or higher to run properly. PowerPoint 97 and higher include 2.6 or higher. However, if you have installed a program using an older version of MDAC, it will overwrite the required 2.6 version thus causing problems with Quotations and other programs that require version 2.6. Please see the instructions below for updating MDAC.

It is pointing to version 2.6 of MDAC. However the latest MDAC version is 2.8 and it can be found on Microsoft's website at http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/default.asp?url=/downloads/list/dataaccess.asp

MDAC 2.6 does not contain Microsoft Jet Components (Microsoft Jet, Microsoft Jet OLE DB Provider and the ODBC Desktop Database Drivers).

The redistributable version of Jet 4.0 Service Pack 3 (Jet40SP3_Comp.exe) can be downloaded from: http://www.microsoft.com/data/download_Jet4SP3.htm

How to install MDAC 2.6 and Microsoft Jet 40 SP3:

1. Download MDAC 2.6 or later.
2. In Windows Explorer, double click the mdac_typ.exe file you downloaded in step 1 to begin the MDAC setup.
3. Restart your computer.
4. In Windows Explorer, double click the Jet40SP3_Comp.exe you downloaded to begin the Jet 4.0 setup.
5. Restart your computer. The computer now has MDAC 2.6 RTM with Jet 40 SP3.
