Getting Started
After the installation is complete, a new button - Insert Flash Movie… - appears on a floating palette in the working area of PowerPoint, as well as in PowerPoint's Insert menu. Open an existing PowerPoint presentation, or create a new presentation, then choose the slide or slides in the presentation where you want music to play.

How to Insert a Movie

1. Inside PowerPoint select Insert > PowerPlugs: FlashReady or from the floating FlashReady menu - Insert Flash Movie

2. You will see the following dialog.

3. To insert a Flash movie click on your choice of gallery images above.

4. Or click on the "..." button to select another Flash movie not included in the gallery.
When you click on the “…” button above, you will see two options:

a) Flash Movie on this PC
b) Online Video

5. To insert a Flash movie available on your machine click on - Flash Movie on this PC. It will bring up a standard file Open dialog. Use it to select any (.swf format) Flash movie on your PC which will then be automatically inserted into PowerPoint..

6. To select a Flash video available anywhere on the Web click on - Online Video. It will then open up the dialog box below.

7. Now, for your convenience, using the dialog box above you may use the “Open Web Browser” button below to start up your default Web browser (such as Internet Explorer or Firefox).

8. Use your browser to find the Flash video you’d like to insert on or any other such video sharing site.

9. Then copy and past the Internet address of that video (such as: into the white text entry box below.

10.Then click OK and you should ready to go with your Flash video inserted into PowerPoint.

11. Tip: If you want to move the Flash video after it has been inserted, you can simply click on it and drag it to your preferred location. To resize it, click on the Flash movie, then click on the small white circles with black borders that appear on the sides or top and bottom, and drag them to achieve your Flash movie’s preferred size.


The pull down menu allows you to select from different categories of Flash movie. Categories of Flash Movie includes: Objects, Symbols, Business Banners, Medical Banners Shapes & Banners, Technology Banners and Opening and Closing. Selecting a category will display thumbnail images of the corresponding Flash movie in the window.

The right side of the dialog box shows small previews of the Flash Movie To select one, either double-click it or click it once and then click OK.
With a Flash Movie selected at left, click this button to apply the Flash Movie to your PowerPoint presentations.
Click this button to close the PowerPlugs: FlashReady dialog box.
This button to import your own Flash Movie.
Use Slide Background Color You can uncheck this option if you want to change the background color of your Flash Movie.

Embed Loop

You can uncheck these options if you don't want your Flash Movie to embed and/or play in a repeating loop. If you uncheck this option, the Flash Movie will play only once in the selected slide during presentations.

How to avoid the wait time of loading a YouTube video during your presentation?

To avoid the wait time of loading a YouTube video during your presentation, here is a simple workaround

1. Before you present your presentation, select “View Show” or “View Show with Effects”.

2. Go to the slide with a YouTube video embedded.

3. Hit “Play” to let the video load.

4. Once the video has loaded completely, hit “Play” again to pause the video.

5. Then drag the timeline slider back to the beginning of the video. (You must drag the slider back to the beginning; otherwise the video will freeze when you return to the YouTube slide.)

6. Then return to the title slide for your presentation and then proceed normally from there.

How to Remove Flash Movie

Steps to remove music from individual slide(s):
Select the Flash Movie that you've applied to your presentation.
Click the "Delete" button.
