LEARN HOW TO CREATE IMPRESSIVE 3D ANIMATIONS WHILE KEEPING THE FILES SIZE SMALL :
1) Keep your working area small (such as 80x60 pixels).
2) Keep your model simple. For instance, try using just one object, or, one or two letters rather than long words.
3) Use a transparent or single colored background.
4) Rotate your objects by 90 degrees around the "Y" axis, assign a Spin motion (using Apply Motion), then, in Make Movie, set the Range option so that only one-half of the scene length (in seconds) is rendered. (By doing this, when the rendered animation loops, it will look like it is rotating 360 degrees and the resulting file size will be smaller than if the entire scene length were rendered.)
5) Keep the animation length down to about 2 seconds.
6) Keep the frame rate around 5-10 frames per second.
7) After Make Movie renders the GIF file, use the convenient "Colors" edit field to reduce the number of colors until the file size and image quality reaches a good balance. Note that when you stop editing the number of colors, the animation's color palette is automatically re-optimized. Then, what you see is what you'll get.
