Electronic Business Presentations at a Fraction of Competitors' Prices

New PowerPoint plug-in includes royalty-free photos that also enhance videos and websites.

Santa Clara, Calif., - (July 21, 2000) - CrystalGraphics Inc., a leading developer and publisher of graphics software, today announced the release of PowerPlugs: Photos, a two CD series of royalty-free, professional-quality photographs depicting key business themes, symbols, ideas, and emotions, at 1/6th the typical price of competitive material.

Each volume includes 100 photos hand-picked by CrystalGraphics from thousands of professional photographs reviewed. Business-specific images in categories such as money, people, and technology make finding the right image a snap, and the pictures, chosen to convey business concepts with maximum visual impact, help presenters illustrate key points more effectively. While royalty-free, professional-quality photos usually cost approximately $250-$300 per hundred images, PowerPlugs: Photos CDs sell separately for a street price of $49, or $79 for the two-volume set, and are available directly from CrystalGraphics.

Because PowerPlugs: Photos is optimized for use within Microsoft PowerPoint, users can conveniently select photos right from PowerPoint's Insert menu. The versatile photos are also suitable for use in video, websites, or other electronic media where visual, business-oriented appeal is critical. All photos are stored in a high-quality JPEG format at 72 dpi, up to 1024 x 768 resolution for high quality electronic images with minimal download times.

The new CDs require at least a Pentium 166 with 32-MB RAM and 40-MB available hard disk space, running Windows 95, 98, 2000, or the NT 4.0 operating systems. No special graphics hardware is necessary, however, PowerPoint 97 or 2000 is required for electronic slide presentations. The CDs are fully compatible with Microsoft Office 2000.

PowerPlugs: Photos is the newest addition to CrystalGraphics' PowerPlugs line, which bring the power and excitement of television-style graphics and effects to Microsoft PowerPoint.
